No problem, Blair! A lot of the answers I’ve seen here are reasonable and should work, but either cost money (aiseesoft, moviesherlock, mac-dvd ipod transfer, etc), are overly complicated, require multiple pieces of software, or all of the above. My solutions are the simplest I’ve seen and are FREE.
BY FAR the easiest way to download songs from your ipod is by using the software you already have– I-TUNES! You just need to download a FREE script from Doug’s Applescripts for i-Tunes. The script you want is "Import iPod Audio Files ", currently number 5 on the list of "Top 11 Downloads". You will get short and clear instructions about how to use the script. Trust me, it’s a breeze.
Again, by FAR the easiest way to get youtube videos on you iPod is by using the mac program "Tooble" (see link below). Check out the Tooble website, and you can see, there’s no learning curve. It’s FREE, there’s no spyware or malware, and you can get any video from youtube into your ipod in three clicks.
P.S. YouTubeMate WON’T WORK for you, because it’s PC ONLY!
