I recently bought a DVI/HDMI cable and connected my computer to my 42" plasma tv. The resolution is very poor. I tried changing the resolution to match the tv (1080) but it made the text very hard to read. I tried adjusting the resolution from the video card and the computer settings, nothing. No matter what resolution I try, it still looks bad. Not sure if it matters, but I’m running a 7950 GT video card.
I have a laptop with a S-video output plug and a VGA plug and would like to connect it to a plasma tv. Would connecting a VGA to RGB with 5 component cables work? Or can you do S-video to S-video?
I recently bought a Sony 42" LCD TV, and I was hoping to put it above my fireplace, but is this safe? Also, is it safe to place the TV in an area that is warm, like near the kitchen? Also, does this rule apply to Plasma TV’s too? Thanks!
I am planning to buy a PHILIPS 42 PF9630 Ambilight plasma TV. Everyone says you must avoid static pictures or vertical black bars from 4:3 video in a 16:9 plasma to prevent BURN IN. But, what happens with black bars that appear in many "ultra wide" 16:9 DVDs? Do they burn onto de display? Or this model "recognize" this type of black bars? Thanks.
I live in Seattle and I keep trying to call customer service but they never answer. What’s the usual price range? I have a 46-inch plasma tv that i just want to have a basic wall mount.
What is the differece between a plasma TV and a high-definition TV?
My 2 yr old smeared sunscreen all over our plasma tv and when I try to wipe it just keeps smearing. Any idea how to get it off, maybe dry it up with something? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
