I currently have ubuntu on my toshiba satellite a215. I would like to replace it with windows xp. When I boot it from the xp disc it asks me to press any key to boot from cd. After I do this it just goes to a black screen. Please help!

I’ve had a Toshiba Satellite A205-S5804 for over a year. When I recently tried to turn it on, it’s gone from the Toshiba start up screen to completely black with a white cursor in the middle of the screen. This is as far as it gets in the start-up process. I’ve tried taking the battery out, charging the battery fully, and leaving it plugged in. It just freezes up, and I was wondering how to fix it without erasing the hard drive? Any advice would be great!

Does the toshiba satellite l350 lightscribe have lightscribe technology so I can digitally put a label on DVDs? If it does, does anybody know where I can download a free lightscribe program? Thank you, and Happy New Year.

I own a Toshiba satellite and it was using the windows xp network adapter to connect to wireless devices. I then switched one day to the network adapter config free that came with the computer. But I don’t like it. How can I switch back to the windows xp network adapter. I’ve tried a few things like going to my control panel, internet options and also network settings. but it did not help.

I have a Toshiba Satellite P205-S6287 laptop and some times the
bottom and right-hand sides of the touch pad stop working which means I can’t scroll up & down the page.
I don’t know much about computers but I think that happened because I plugged a new mouse in?

I have two identical Toshiba Satellite M115 laptops (one is now used for spare parts). I just added some ram from one to the other and it runs a lot faster. I was wondering what else can be added from the other laptop to this one to make it faster.

p.s. maybe a little instructions on how to do it too would be awesome.

I am looking for a laptop that support for 3D games. I heard the Toshiba Satellite have a good performance on its market.  Are toshiba satellite pc’s made for gaming? What’s the spec and price of the laptop?
